The perfumer Julien Rasquinet brings an archetypal fougere composition into a rich woody and oriental existence with hiring oud wood, not as the key element, but interweaved within the blend, so the ides locked exactly on the place. The opening of lemon and Sicilian bergamot has nothing to do with the fiery burst of woodsy earthy notes of the following. A dry and cracky woodiness of cedarwood and pink pepper, plus an earthy powdery facet of angelica and galbanum is redolent of a graceful past.
