Deriva by Tiziana Terenzi is a fragrance for Women & Men.
With the word drift, in the world of seafaring, we mean the motion of the boat without a course, which moves at the mercy of the waves and the current. An uncontrolled movement, therefore the loss of command of our will, without a precise destination, floating towards an unknown destination. This travel, sometimes relaxed as in sunny days, in the absence of wind and flat calm, or in other impetuous and adrenaline, in the midst of the fury of the storm and the waves, abandoned, almost happily surrendered, at the mercy of external events, are the faces of the same seductive coin that inspires the sailor and explorer to move away from the shore, leaving the safe harbor of their knowledge, to embark on the journey towards oblivion and wonder, through unknown adventures and challenges. The safe areas of our known give way to the discovery of the mystery that intimidates and attracts us at the same time. Imagine being on board our beloved Telea in the middle of the sea, in the deep blue, so far from the mainland that we can no longer see the boundaries of the coast. To the naked eye nothing is revealed around us. We are alone in the middle of the ocean when, suddenly, the wind stops completely and everything around us takes on an unreal calm. We have entered a pocket of calm and it is no longer possible to steer our boat. We no longer hear the creaking of the rigging that counteracts the force of the wind or the lapping of the hull that penetrates the waves. Everything is silent and takes on a new dimension, there is no muscle or thought that can counteract this oblivion. We slowly drift, letting life pervade us in the soul. Sometimes you have to know how to surrender to life to be able to live it fully, just as it happens when you drift in the middle of the sea and into the unknown. The lascivious abandonment to the fluctuation of events is enclosed in this perfume called Deriva, the emblem of completely losing oneself in the oblivion of our most secret and unconfessable passions. The creation opens with a tightrope walking and mysterious accord, where the aromatic notes embrace the hesperide notes. Here are the echoes of precious citrus fruits such as Reggio Calabria Bergamot and Sorrento Lemon, combined with the counterpoint of Bulgarian Lavender and Zanzibar Cardamom, sweetened by the sugary persuasion of Brazilian Pineapple. This floating head abandons itself on a seductive and exciting heart, where the reverberations of flowers such as Egyptian Geranium and Italian Gardenia, blend silently with the aromatic notes of Peruvian Pink Pepper, then emphasized by the rebellious spirit of Singapore Patchouli and the sour sweetness of Russian Raspberry. The entire creation is supported by a solid base, where the spicy aromatic foundations find strength in the hints of Virginia Tobacco Leaves, mixed with the robust echoes of aphrodisiac sweetness of Madagascar Vanilla Beans and Tonka Bean of Colombia, then emphasized by the reverberations of precious woods such as Australian Sandalwood and Italian Rosewood. Deriva contains in a drop of precious perfume all the spirit of knowing how to lose oneself in the whirlwind of one’s passions and emotions, without any fear or regret of being able to get lost in oblivion, because sometimes letting go without any resistance is the only way to discover the great beauty of life, the essence of existence.
